Shrimad Rajchandra Mechanical Engineering Department, established in 1997, is one of the oldest departments of the institute. It is founded with the aim of providing quality education to students. The department is led by Mr. N. C. Rana, Head of Department, and comprises 6 faculty members, 2 workshop instructors, and 1 supporting staff. All staff members are well-qualified and possess rich academic experience. Industrial visits and expert lectures are regular features of the department, enhancing students’ practical knowledge and industrial exposure. Over the years, the department has successfully organized various seminars, workshops, webinars, STTPs, and FDPs. The department has also achieved noteworthy placement records, with students placed in over 35 industries through campus interviews.

Mission

  1. To impart mechanical engineering knowledge through trained faculty in conducive environment.
  2. To develop in them, ability for pursuing higher studies in the field of mechanical engineering.
  3. To motivate students for lifelong learning and create awareness to make them industry responsive.

Program Outcomes

  1. Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis:Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  3. Design/ development of solutions:Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing:Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements
  5. Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  6. Project Management:Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  7. Life-long learning:Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

  1. Able to prepare design and execute the plan to manufacture components / assembly
  2. Able to use CAD tools for modeling and drafting of Mechanical components.
  3. Able to apply the knowledge of various thermal systems to evaluate related system.
