N. G. Patel Polytechnic (N.G. P.P.) has launched AICTE, New Delhi approved and Gujarat Technological
University (GTU) affiliated three years Diploma programme on skill development based higher education
as part of college education, leading to Diploma of Vocation (D. Voc.) degree. The D.Voc. programme is
focused on providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles along with
broad based general education. This would enable the students completing D. Voc. to make a meaningful
participation in accelerating Indian economy by gaining appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs
and creating appropriate knowledge. All the students who have passed Std. 10th or equivalent (9 th + 2 ITI)
are eligible for this course.

Objectives
- To provide thoughtful mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriate content of General Education.
- To ensure that the students have adequate knowledge and skills, so that they are work ready at each exit point of the programme.
- To provide flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry and multiple exit points.
- To provide vertical mobility to students coming out of 10 th or equivalent with vocational subjects.
- Skill knowledge Provide (SKP) gives On-job Training in each semester.

Mr. Anil D. Patel completed B.E.(Industrial Engineering) in year 2008 and M.Tech. (Manufacturing engineering) in the year 2015. He is working as a Lecturer at Mechanical Engg. Dept. of NGPP since year 2008.
